1. Introduction

This agreement outlines the terms and conditions for renting and/or buying winter clothing and accessories from Arctic style rentals Oy. By renting or buying from us, you agree to comply with the terms stated below.

Arctic Style Rentals Oy provides rental services for premium winter wear. The clothing and accessories offered are sourced from well-known brands. LuxJa acts as a reseller and rental provider of these products, and is solely responsible for the rental service. The original brands are not parties to this rental agreement and assume no liability for the rental process or service.

2. Rental process

2.1. Eligibility

• The person responsible for the reservation must be 18 years or older.

• The renter is responsible for providing accurate information, including personal details and payment information.

2.2. Collection and Return

• Rental items must be returned at the time and place specified in the reservation.

• Late returns will incur an additional charge of 15€ per item per day.

• Early returns do not affect the rental price.

2.3. Delivery & Pick-up

• Currently, delivery is the only method available. Pick-ups from the showroom may be offered in the future.

• Delivery within 20 km of our showroom (Ratsastajankuja 1A 9, 99130, Sirkka) is included in the price. 

• Delivery within 20-60 km (Ylläs/Äkäslompolo) of our showroom is 45€.
  
  

3. Rental terms

3.1. Rental Period

• The rental period starts at the time specified in the booking and is valid for the agreed duration.

• Extensions must be requested and approved before the end of the rental period.

3.2. Condition of items & responsibility

• The renter is responsible for returning all items in the same condition as received.

• Clothing must be returned reasonably clean and dry. An additional cleaning fee of 20€ per set applies only in cases of excessive dirt (e.g. stains, mud, smoke).

• Do not attempt to wash or alter the clothing — We handle all cleaning and maintenance.

• If the product cannot be repaired for rental purposes and/or it is damaged beyond normal wear and tear, it results in a full replacement cost as listed below.

3.3. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Items

• The renter is fully responsible for the rented items during the rental period.

Lost or stolen items must be compensated at full replacement value, as listed below. Prices include VAT.

4. Charges & payments

4.1. Rental Charges

• Clothing set 299€

• Coveralls 199€

• LuxJa backpack 35€

• Joutsen Down poncho 45€

Rental period is 1-7 days. All prices include Finnish VAT.

4.2. Additional items and products

• Check the current prices in the online store. We reserve the right to change prices.

4.2. Payment Methods

• We accept credit/debit cards and other online payment methods. For our B2B clients we offer monthly invoicing.

5. Cancellations & refunds

5.1. Cancellations

• Cancellations are allowed up to 48 hours before the rental period. After this, the full rental fee applies.

5.2. Refunds

• If we are unable to deliver the rental items, the renter will receive a full refund.

• If an item has a defect, we will replace it with an equivalent product.

• Refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method

6. Liability & disclaimers

6.1. Liability

The responsibility of LuxJa – Arctic Style Rentals Oy is limited to the rental service itself. While we rent products manufactured by third-party brands, these brands are not responsible for the rental, its conditions, or any liabilities arising from it.

Arctic style rentals Oy is not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or losses that occur while using the rented items.

The renter assumes full responsibility for proper use of the rented equipment.

Rented items are intended for normal recreational use. Use outside intended purpose (e.g. industrial work, extreme activities) is not permitted and voids all liability from Arctic style rentals Oy. 

6.2. Disclaimer

We provide high-quality rental items, but do not guarantee suitability for all weather conditions or personal needs.

Any complaints must be made to Arctic style rentals Oy at the destination. If this is not possible or if a satisfactory solution cannot be found on site or if a claim for compensation is involved, the complaint must be sent in writing (letter or email) within one week of the end of the rental period. 

Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved in accordance with Finnish law. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall primarily be resolved through negotiation. If disagreements cannot be resolved through negotiation, they will be resolved in accordance with the Finnish legal system.

7. Privacy policy

By renting from Arctic style rentals Oy, you agree to our Privacy Policy, which details how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

8. Amendments to terms

Arctic style rentals Oy reserves the right to update these terms and conditions. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
